Another Simple Way Couch Potatoes Can Move More: 100 Push Ups A Day … The Easy Way

I wrote earlier about a simple method I used to move more.

But some don’t want to jump rope.

So, here’s a tweak for those who prefer to do 100 push ups a day … the easy way.

Equipment

  • A willingness to move more
  • A way to “record your progress”

Method

  1. Do one push up in the morning
  2. Repeat the previous day, and do one push in the evening
  3. Repeat the previous day, adding one push up every morning on odd days, and one push up every evening on even days
  4. Split the amount of push ups in half once the amount reaches 10 and add a small rest between each set (i.e., 10 push ups will become two sets of 5 with a small rest)
  5. Repeat the previous steps until you are doing 50 push ups in the morning and 50 in the evening.
  6. Celebrate and decide if you’ll continue adding one push up a day or keep doing 100 push ups a day.

Reflection

Both this method and the one I mentioned earlier use a simple progression. Let me know if you give either a try.
