An apology

I’m sorry.

During the Your Message Live 2003 Virtual Event, I announced I’d launch my new website at noon on July 1. When I hit publish, I thought my blogs posts would only appear on the website. Then I discovered my website had emailed my subscribers.

But I’d made a mistake.

Near the end of my first blog post, I’d encouraged readers to contact me with their comments, feedback, questions and suggestions. But I’d forgotten to set up an email address and contact page.

I now have both and have edited the end of that blog post.

Two Recommendations

I emailed three subscribers when I realised my first mistake and asked:

When I published my four blog posts earlier today, did you receive an email saying I had? If so, did the email contain the blog post? Or a link to it?

One subscriber replied: Laura Mangum Broome

Recommendation 1: Laura recommended I add my personal email to my subscriber list, so I can see what they get.

Then she forwarded the four blog posts to my personal email address, and pointed out I don’t have an email address my audience can reply to. Now I do.

This isn’t the first of my mistakes Laura has highlighted.

Without her keen eye, I’d be a recovering coach potato making process, rather than a recovering couch potato making progress.

Thanks Laura, I appreciate your feedback. It helps me a lot.

Recommendation 2: Please check out Laura’s website if you haven’t already done so. Her framework for transforming pain into purpose is inspiring.

More appreciation

Thank you Jonathan Milligan. Your shout-out to me at the start of the second day of Your Message Live 2003 Virtual Event was unexpected and appreciated.

Thanks also to those at the event who subscribed to my newsletter. I aim to serve you well … and quickly put right the mistakes I’ll make along the way.
